Overview

Open to applicants in England aged 19+ with a role in the care sector, the Level 2 Adult Care Certificate diploma is perfect for those with little or no prior experience in adult care. The programme covers essential topics that build strong foundational knowledge for working within the care sector.

Students will complete a selection of 15 mandatory units, representing the 15 standards of care. Each unit holds a different credit value, and students must gain a minimum total of 36 credits in order to pass the course.

The enrolment fee for this qualification is £995.

Requirements

This course is designed for those with little to no prior care experience. The Level 2 Adult Care Certificate is open to applicants in England aged 19+ with a role in the care sector.

Duration

Learners have a maximum of 24 months to complete their qualification. Students are encouraged to learn at their own pace, and many will complete sooner.

Accreditation

Our Diplomas are accredited by Ofqual-approved registered bodies such as Highfield Qualifications and ILM (part of City & Guilds) to give you quality assurance.

Assessment

Diplomas are completed via e-portfolio. All students will be assigned a dedicated assessor who will be on hand to provide virtual support. The assessor team is there to help students work to the best of their ability and complete their diploma in good time.

The e-portfolio is a collection of evidence submitted via an online portal. This evidence comprises a range of documents, from peer statements, presentations of evidence and a series of Q&A sessions.

Evidence is collected via experience gained in the delegate’s workplace whilst they perform their usual working role and will cover a series of competence and knowledge-based units.

Funding Information

This qualification (610/4219/5) is listed as an eligible qualification under the Adult Social Care Learning and Development Support Scheme (LDSS).

Eligible adult social care employers may be able to claim up to £1,500 towards the cost of this qualification, subject to meeting the scheme's eligibility requirements.

To claim funding, employers must have an up-to-date Adult Social Care Workforce Data Set (ASC-WDS) account and submit a claim through the NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) within the required timeframe.

Claims are made directly by the employer. TutorCare Limited is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or responsible for the administration of the LDSS.

Diploma FAQs

What is the difference between an NVQ, a QCF and an RQF?

All three are abbreviations of the same qualification. While the term 'NVQ' may still be the most popular, this was superseded by 'QCF' in 2010 and then changed to 'RQF' in 2015.
