Overview
This Level 3 diploma aims to provide learners with the skills, knowledge and understanding needed for a diverse range of job roles and occupational areas in child social care, learning development and support services.
The qualification is for anyone who works or wants to work at a supervisory level in the children and young people’s workforce. It also serves as the required qualification (for all new practitioners) for registration and regulatory requirements in the sector.
The enrolment fee for this qualification is £1,495.
Requirements
As assessment takes place in the workplace, delegates must be employed in a relevant vocational setting in order to enrol on the course.
Duration
Learners have a maximum of 24 months to complete their qualification. Students are encouraged to learn at their own pace, and many will complete sooner.
Accreditation
Our Diplomas are accredited by Ofqual-approved registered bodies such as Highfield Qualifications and ILM (part of City & Guilds) to give you quality assurance.
Assessment
Diplomas are completed via e-portfolio. All students will be assigned a dedicated assessor who will be on hand to provide virtual support. The assessor team is there to help students work to the best of their ability and complete their diploma in good time.
The e-portfolio is a collection of evidence submitted via an online portal. This evidence comprises a range of documents, from peer statements, presentations of evidence and a series of Q&A sessions.
Evidence is collected via experience gained in the delegate’s workplace whilst they perform their usual working role and will cover a series of competence and knowledge-based units.

Diploma FAQs
What is the difference between an NVQ, a QCF and an RQF?
All three are abbreviations of the same qualification. While the term 'NVQ' may still be the most popular, this was superseded by 'QCF' in 2010 and then changed to 'RQF' in 2015.
What support will be available during this course?
All learners completing one of our vocational courses will be assigned their own course assessor, providing direct and personal support. Additionally, we have a dedicated in-house diploma team available 24/7 via phone or email.
